Davana Oil

Steam distillation is the process that helps you to extract davana oil. Overground parts of the flowering herb, Artemisia Pallens wall give you this oil. This plant can be found in the southern India where sandalwood grows. The color of this oil is brownish green or dark green. This oil is full of aromatic properties, thus it is widely used in aromatherapy. The common names this oil have are Artemisia pallens herb oil and Artemisia Pallens Wall oil.

You can blend this oil with most of the woody, citrus and spicy essential oils. Those oils are caraway, coriander, grapefruit, cedar wood, neroli, geranium and chamomile. You can use this oil in cosmetics, food, flavor, perfume and pharmaceuticals industry. The chemical components of davana oils are (E)-ethyl cinnamate, bicyclogermacrene, (Z)- and (E)-methyl cinnamate, 2-hydroxyisodavanone and davana ether.
